In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, Felipe’s Mexican Taqueria will host its annual Fiesta Fest on Friday, September 16. This lively celebration showcases the rich food, music, and entertainment unique to Latino culture, taking over all Felipe’s locations in Louisiana, Florida, and Maryland. This free event is open to the public, inviting everyone to experience the spirit of Hispanic heritage.
Fiesta Fest commemorates the independence of several Mexican and Central American countries, celebrating their national sovereignty each September. This year’s Fiesta Fest at Felipe’s offers an immersive cultural experience with live music, dance performances, authentic Mexican cuisine, and the best hand-squeezed margaritas—available both on the rocks and frozen.
Milton Orellana, Culinary Manager for Felipe’s New Orleans, shares, “New Orleans has a long history of exchange with Latin American culture. Fiesta Fest is an event we put on with pride to celebrate Latinos who call New Orleans home.” Reflecting this sentiment, Jairo Navarro, Multi-Unit Manager for Felipe’s in Florida, adds, “Being from Guadalajara, I’m excited to bring an authentic celebration of Hispanic culture to our community here in Florida.”
