Tales of the Cocktail is upon us! The largest, most important cocktail event in the world cranks up into full gear next week here in New Orleans, and Felipe’s French Quarter and Tiki Tolteca are right in the thick of it, hosting two official “Dynamic Duos” events.
Tiki Tolteca and Felipe’s are both hosting Dynamic Duos events, and both are free and open to the public. Stop by anytime during the week and elbow up next to some of the best bartenders in the entire world!
Thursday, July 16
6pm-8pm
Guillermo and Billy Erickson (a 6th generation Sauza), the men behind Fortaleza Tequila, will join Nathan Dalton and the Felipe’s Taqueria crew behind the bar. We’ll be serving a special margarita made with actual roasted agave from the Fortaleza distillery. You can also order shots that Billy Erickson will pour directly into your mouth from a long bamboo “Billy Stick.”
Saturday, July 18
5pm-7pm
Scot Mattox, bartender and founder of El Guapo Bitters, and Nathan Dalton at Tiki Tolteca will mix up huge shared drinks in watermelons featuring Rougaroux Rums, Oryza Vodka & Gin, and LA1 Whiskey from Donner-Peltier distillers. A limbo station will dispense drinks into your mouth as you go under it.
All week at Felipe’s French Quarter
The bar at Felipe’s French Quarter will be featuring a menu of pisco cocktails, debuting during Tales of the Cocktail. Explore the tastes of Peru with cocktails including the Chinguerito, a cinnamon-and-grape cocktail traditional to grape-stomping parties and the Pisco Punch, the mysterious and famous old drink from San Francisco.
Cheers to Tales of the Cocktail, we’ll see you there!
